तव नैतद्धि सदृशं पुत्रस्थाने हि मे भवान् ।
निवर्तयेतां तौ शापमन्योऽन्येन तदा मुनी ॥३७॥

37. tava naitaddhi sadṛśaṁ putrasthāne hi me bhavān ,
nivartayetāṁ tau śāpamanyo'nyena tadā munī.

(Nāradaḥ uvāca) "bhavān me putra-sthāne hi (asti),
(ataḥ) etat tava na hi sadṛśam.

Indeed, this is not proper for you (to retaliate like this), for you are certainly like a son to me. Therefore, those two sages (we two) should revoke each other's curse.
