महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-78, verse-4

नाहमन्यायतः काममाचरामि शुचिस्मिते ।
तस्मादृषेर्ममापत्यमिति सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते ॥४॥
4. nāhamanyāyataḥ kāmamācarāmi śucismite ,
tasmādṛṣermamāpatyamiti satyaṁ bravīmi te.
4. na aham anyāyataḥ kāmam ācarāmi śucismite
tasmāt ṛṣeḥ mama apatyam iti satyam bravīmi te
4. "O pure-smiled one, I do not act improperly for the sake of desire. Therefore, this child is from that sage – this truth I tell you."
