महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-78, verse-31

ययातिरुवाच ।
ऋतुं वै याचमानाया भगवन्नान्यचेतसा ।
दुहितुर्दानवेन्द्रस्य धर्म्यमेतत्कृतं मया ॥३१॥
31. yayātiruvāca ,
ṛtuṁ vai yācamānāyā bhagavannānyacetasā ,
duhiturdānavendrasya dharmyametatkṛtaṁ mayā.
31. yayātiḥ uvāca | ṛtum vai yācamānāyāḥ bhagavan na anyacetasā
| duhituḥ dānavendrasya dharmyam etat kṛtam mayā
31. Yayāti said: "O venerable one, this righteous act was performed by me for the daughter of the king of Dānavas, who was seeking union and whose mind was not fixed elsewhere (but solely on me)."
