गुरुस्तत्राहमभवं शिष्यस्त्वमभवस्तदा ।
पृष्टवान्मां त्वमग्रस्थ इदमुद्दामधीरधीः ॥ ३ ॥

pṛṣṭavānmāṃ tvamagrastha idamuddāmadhīradhīḥ 3

3. guruḥ tatra aham abhavam śiṣyaḥ tvam abhavaḥ tadā
pṛṣṭavān mām tvam agrasthaḥ idam uddāmadhīradhīḥ

3. tatra aham guruḥ abhavam tvam śiṣyaḥ abhavaḥ tadā
tvam agrasthaḥ uddāmadhīradhīḥ mām idam pṛṣṭavān

3. There, I became the teacher (guru), and you became the disciple. Then, you, standing before me with an immensely firm and resolute intellect, questioned me about this.
