योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-144, verse-21

एकं तथा च चिन्मात्रं स्वप्ने लक्षात्म तिष्ठति ।
पुनर्लक्षाद्यतः स्वप्न एकमास्ते सुषुप्तकम् ॥ २१ ॥
ekaṃ tathā ca cinmātraṃ svapne lakṣātma tiṣṭhati ,
punarlakṣādyataḥ svapna ekamāste suṣuptakam 21
21. ekam tathā ca cinmātram svapne lakṣa-ātma tiṣṭhati
punaḥ lakṣāt yataḥ svapnaḥ ekam āste suṣuptakam
21. tathā ca ekam cinmātram svapne lakṣa-ātma tiṣṭhati
punaḥ yataḥ lakṣāt svapnaḥ ekam suṣuptakam āste
21. Similarly, the singular pure consciousness (cinmātra) exists in a dream as a myriad of forms. Then, from that myriad, the dream state (svapna) returns to exist as a singular deep sleep (suṣupti).
