In the mind (citta), which has the intrinsic nature (dharma) of manifesting, the ego (ahaṅkāra) spontaneously arises, like a small fish (śapharī) in the waters of cosmic dissolution (kalpāmbha). From where has this 'you-ness' (tvamayam) then arisen?
