योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-67, verse-41

ब्रह्महत्याश्वमेधाभ्यामसंसक्तो न लिप्यते ।
दूरस्थकान्तासंलीनमनाः कार्यैरिवाग्रगैः ॥ ४१ ॥
brahmahatyāśvamedhābhyāmasaṃsakto na lipyate ,
dūrasthakāntāsaṃlīnamanāḥ kāryairivāgragaiḥ 41

dūrasthakāntāsaṃlīnamanāḥ kāryaiḥ iva agragaiḥ

41. One who is unattached is not tainted by (the karmic effects of) even a *brahmahatyā* (killing of a Brahmin) or an *aśvamedha* (Vedic horse sacrifice). This is like a mind that is not absorbed in a distant beloved, remaining unaffected by pressing duties.
