योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-39, verse-39

आशापाशनिबद्धोऽन्तरितश्चेतश्च नीयते ।
यो विलोलमनोवृत्त्या मरणं तस्य राजते ॥ ३९ ॥
āśāpāśanibaddho'ntaritaścetaśca nīyate ,
yo vilolamanovṛttyā maraṇaṃ tasya rājate 39
39. āśā-pāśa-nibaddhaḥ antaritaḥ ca itaḥ ca nīyate
yaḥ vilola-mano-vr̥ttyā maraṇam tasya rājate
39. yaḥ āśā-pāśa-nibaddhaḥ antaritaḥ ca itaḥ ca vilola-mano-vr̥ttyā nīyate,
tasya maraṇam rājate
39. For him who, bound by the fetters of hope, is internally distraught and led hither and thither by a restless mental disposition (manovr̥tti), death appears glorious.
