योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-39, verse-24

स्थातव्यमिह देहेन कल्पं यावदनेन ते ।
वयं हि नियतिं विद्मो यथाभूतामनिन्दिताम् ॥ २४ ॥
sthātavyamiha dehena kalpaṃ yāvadanena te ,
vayaṃ hi niyatiṃ vidmo yathābhūtāmaninditām 24
24. sthātavyam iha dehena kalpam yāvat anena te | vayam
hi niyatim vidmaḥ yathābhūtām aninditām || 24 ||
24. anena te dehena iha kalpam yāvat sthātavyam
hi vayam yathābhūtām aninditām niyatim vidmaḥ
24. You must remain here with this body until the end of the kalpa. For we indeed know destiny (niyati) as it truly is, a faultless natural law (dharma).
