योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-39, verse-14

प्राणेषु रन्ध्रनवके प्रवृत्तेष्वथ तस्य चित् ।
चेत्योन्मुखी बभूवान्तः प्राणदर्पणबिम्बिता ॥ १४ ॥

14. Then, as his (the demon's) vital functions (prāṇa) became active in the nine apertures, his consciousness (cit) internally turned towards objects of thought, reflected as if in the mirror of the life-force (prāṇa).
