शाखाप्रतानगहना संसारविषमञ्जरी ।

6. O God, this widely spread poisonous creeper of cyclic existence (saṃsāra), which is dense with its numerous branches and tendrils, sprouts forth, with ego (ahaṅkāra) as its very root.
