योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-31, verse-45

परमार्थो जगदिति रूपं वेत्ति स्वयं स्वकम् ।
यथा तैमिरिकं चक्षुः केशोण्ड्रकमिवेक्षते ॥ ४५ ॥
paramārtho jagaditi rūpaṃ vetti svayaṃ svakam ,
yathā taimirikaṃ cakṣuḥ keśoṇḍrakamivekṣate 45
45. paramārthaḥ jagat iti rūpam vetti svayam svakam
yathā taimirakam cakṣuḥ keśoṇḍrakam iva īkṣate
45. paramārthaḥ svayam svakam rūpam jagat iti vetti
yathā taimirakam cakṣuḥ keśoṇḍrakam iva īkṣate
45. The ultimate reality (paramārtha) itself perceives its own nature as the world (jagat), just as an eye afflicted with a visual defect (taimirikam) sees floating filaments (keśoṇḍraka).
