योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-49, verse-35

वेतालास्त्रं ततो दत्ते तेनोत्तस्थुः शवव्रजाः ।
अमूर्धानः समूर्धानो वेताला वेशवल्लिताः ॥ ३५ ॥
vetālāstraṃ tato datte tenottasthuḥ śavavrajāḥ ,
amūrdhānaḥ samūrdhāno vetālā veśavallitāḥ 35
35. vetāla-astram tataḥ datte tena uttasthuḥ śavavrajāḥ

35. Then he deployed the Vetāla-weapon, and by its power, throngs of corpses rose up. These were vetālās, some headless and some with heads, having entered and taken possession of the bodies.
