योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-49, verse-22

पिशाचसंग्रामकरीं मायां वेत्ति स भूमिपः ।
तया पिशाचसैन्यं तत्परसैन्ये न्ययोजयत् ॥ २२ ॥
piśācasaṃgrāmakarīṃ māyāṃ vetti sa bhūmipaḥ ,
tayā piśācasainyaṃ tatparasainye nyayojayat 22
22. piśāca-saṅgrāma-karīm māyām vetti saḥ bhūmipaḥ
tayā piśāca-sainyam tat para-sainye nyayojayat
22. saḥ bhūmipaḥ piśāca-saṅgrāma-karīm māyām vetti.

22. That king understood the illusion (māyā) that manifested a battle of demons. Using that (māyā), he projected that demon army upon the enemy's forces.
