वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-29, verse-35

यथेष्टं भुङ्क्ष्व त्रैलोक्यं निगृह्य रिपुमोजसा ।
वृथा ते किं श्रमं कृत्वा युद्धं हि तव निष्फलम् ॥३५॥
35. yatheṣṭaṃ bhuṅkṣva trailokyaṃ nigṛhya ripumojasā ,
vṛthā te kiṃ śramaṃ kṛtvā yuddhaṃ hi tava niṣphalam.
35. yathā iṣṭam bhuṅkṣva trailokyam nigṛhya ripum ojasā
vṛthā te kim śramam kṛtvā yuddham hi tava niṣphalam
35. ripum ojasā nigṛhya,
yathā iṣṭam trailokyam bhuṅkṣva.
te vṛthā kim śramam kṛtvā? hi tava yuddham niṣphalam.
35. Enjoy the three worlds to your heart's content, having subdued the enemy with your might. Why make effort in vain? Indeed, your battle is fruitless.
