वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-29, verse-17

ततो ऽन्यं देशमास्थाय शक्रः संत्यज्य रावणम् ।
अयुध्यत महातेजा राक्षसान्नाशयन् रणे ॥१७॥
17. tato'nyaṃ deśamāsthāya śakraḥ saṃtyajya rāvaṇam ,
ayudhyata mahātejā rākṣasānnāśayan raṇe.

rāvaṇam ayudhyata mahātejāḥ rākṣasān nāśayan raṇe
17. tataḥ mahātejāḥ śakraḥ rāvaṇam saṃtyajya anyam deśam āsthāya raṇe rākṣasān nāśayan ayudhyata.
17. Then, having moved to another location, Indra, the greatly resplendent one, abandoned Rāvaṇa and fought, destroying the demons (rākṣasa) in battle.
