वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-23, verse-40

ततो रक्षो महानादं मुक्त्वा हन्ति स्म वारुणान् ।
नानाप्रहरणैर्घोरैर्धारापातैरिवाम्बुदः ॥४०॥
40. tato rakṣo mahānādaṃ muktvā hanti sma vāruṇān ,
nānāpraharaṇairghorairdhārāpātairivāmbudaḥ.

40. Then, uttering a mighty roar, the demon killed Varuṇa's followers with various dreadful weapons, just as a cloud pours down torrents of rain.
