वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-33, verse-27

तेषां चतुर्णां रामस्तु शिरांसि समरे शरैः ।
क्रुद्धश्चतुर्भिश्चिच्छेद घोरैरग्निशिखोपमैः ॥२७॥
27. teṣāṃ caturṇāṃ rāmastu śirāṃsi samare śaraiḥ ,
kruddhaścaturbhiściccheda ghorairagniśikhopamaiḥ.
27. teṣām caturṇām rāmaḥ tu śirāṃsi samare śaraiḥ
kruddhaḥ caturbhiḥ ciccheda ghoraiḥ agniśikhopamaiḥ
27. kruddhaḥ rāmaḥ tu samare teṣām caturṇām śirāṃsi
ghoraiḥ agniśikhopamaiḥ caturbhiḥ śaraiḥ ciccheda
27. Enraged, Rāma indeed cut off the heads of those four (demons) in battle with four terrifying arrows, which resembled flames of fire.
