वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-18, verse-39

एष चैषामधिपतिर्मध्ये तिष्ठति वीर्यवान् ।
नाम्ना पृथिव्यां विख्यातो राजञ् शतबलीति यः ।
एषैवाशंसते लङ्कां स्वेनानीकेन मर्दितुम् ॥३९॥
39. eṣa caiṣāmadhipatirmadhye tiṣṭhati vīryavān ,
nāmnā pṛthivyāṃ vikhyāto rājañ śatabalīti yaḥ ,
eṣaivāśaṃsate laṅkāṃ svenānīkena marditum.

39. rājan,
yaḥ eṣaḥ ca eṣām adhipatiḥ vīryavān nāmnā pṛthivyām śatabalī iti vikhyātaḥ madhye tiṣṭhati.
eṣaḥ eva svena anīkena laṅkām marditum āśaṃsate
39. And this mighty one, their chief, stands in the middle, renowned on earth by the name Śatabalī, O King. This very one desires to crush Laṅkā with his own army.
