तथैव सोऽपि तन्वङ्ग्या बालत्वादवबोधितः ।
क्रियाश्चकार निष्कामो न किञ्चिदुपकारकम् ॥७॥

Similarly, he too was instructed by the slender-bodied queen (madālasā) from his childhood. He performed actions (karma) without desire, doing nothing that would be for his own (worldly) benefit.
