मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-26, verse-17

वदन्ति पुरुषाः प्राज्ञा व्यापिनं पुरुषं यतः ।
क्रान्तिश्च गतिरुद्दिष्टा देशाद्देशान्तरन्तु या ॥१७॥
17. vadanti puruṣāḥ prājñā vyāpinaṃ puruṣaṃ yataḥ .
krāntiśca gatiruddiṣṭā deśāddeśāntarantu yā.
17. vadanti puruṣāḥ prājñāḥ vyāpinaṃ puruṣaṃ yataḥ
krāntiḥ ca gatiḥ uddiṣṭā deśāt deśāntaraṃ tu yā
17. Wise people (prājñāḥ puruṣāḥ) declare the supreme cosmic person (puruṣa) to be all-pervading because, after all, movement (krānti) and motion (gati) are defined as going from one place to another.
