मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-26, verse-34

जड उवाच ।
तेनैवमुक्ता सा भर्त्रा वरनारी मदालसा ।
अलर्कं नाम तनयमुवाचोल्लापवादिनी ॥३४॥
34. jaḍa uvāca .
tenaivamuktā sā bhartrā varanārī madālasā .
alarkaṃ nāma tanayamuvācollāpavādinī.
34. jaḍaḥ uvāca tena evam uktā sā bhartrā varanārī
madālasā alarkam nāma tanayam uvāca ullāpavādinī
34. Jaḍa said: When she, Madālasā, that excellent woman, was thus addressed by her husband, she then spoke encouraging words to her son named Alarka.
