मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-26, verse-5

तमप्येवं यथापूर्वं बालमुल्लापनादिना ।
प्राह बाल्यात् स च प्राप तथा बोधं माहमतिः ॥५॥
5. tamapyevaṃ yathāpūrvaṃ bālamullāpanādinā .
prāha bālyāt sa ca prāpa tathā bodhaṃ māhamatiḥ.
5. tam api evaṃ yathāpūrvaṃ bālam ullāpanādinā
prāha bālyāt saḥ ca prāpa tathā bodhaṃ māhamatiḥ
5. As before, she thus instructed even that boy, Māhamati (māhamati), with soothing words and other means. And he, Māhamati, similarly attained (spiritual) understanding from childhood.
