महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-37, verse-23

निश्चेष्टांस्तु ततो योधानवधीत्पाण्डुनन्दनः ।
यथेन्द्रः समरे दैत्यांस्तारकस्य वधे पुरा ॥२३॥
23. niśceṣṭāṁstu tato yodhānavadhītpāṇḍunandanaḥ ,
yathendraḥ samare daityāṁstārakasya vadhe purā.

yathā indraḥ samare daityān tārakasya vadhe purā
23. tataḥ pāṇḍunandanaḥ tu niśceṣṭān yodhān avadhīt,

23. Then, the son of Pāṇḍu slew those motionless warriors, just as Indra, in ancient times, killed the demons (daitya) in battle during the slaying of Tāraka.
