महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-6, verse-21

एवमेतौ महात्मानौ बलसेनाग्रगावुभौ ।
तावकानां मुखं कर्णः परेषां च धनंजयः ॥२१॥
21. evametau mahātmānau balasenāgragāvubhau ,
tāvakānāṁ mukhaṁ karṇaḥ pareṣāṁ ca dhanaṁjayaḥ.

tāvakānām mukham karṇaḥ pareṣām ca dhanaṃjayaḥ

21. Thus, these two great-souled individuals, both leading their armies, Karna was the chief (mukha) for your side, and Dhananjaya (Arjuna) for the enemies.
