महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-55, verse-34

सोपचारस्तु कृष्णस्तां दुःखितां भृशदुःखितः ।
सिक्त्वाम्भसा समाश्वास्य तत्तदुक्त्वा हितं वचः ॥३४॥
34. sopacārastu kṛṣṇastāṁ duḥkhitāṁ bhṛśaduḥkhitaḥ ,
siktvāmbhasā samāśvāsya tattaduktvā hitaṁ vacaḥ.
34. sopacāraḥ tu kṛṣṇaḥ tām duḥkhitām bhṛśaduḥkhitaḥ
siktvā ambhasā samāśvāsya tat-tat uktvā hitam vacaḥ
34. tu bhṛśaduḥkhitaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sopacāraḥ tām duḥkhitām ambhasā siktvā,

34. But Kṛṣṇa, who was himself deeply distressed, attended to her with care (sopacāra), sprinkling her with water, comforting her, and speaking various beneficial words.
