महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-55, verse-25

राज्ञां सुचरितैर्या च गतिर्भवति शाश्वती ।
चतुराश्रमिणां पुण्यैः पावितानां सुरक्षितैः ॥२५॥
25. rājñāṁ sucaritairyā ca gatirbhavati śāśvatī ,
caturāśramiṇāṁ puṇyaiḥ pāvitānāṁ surakṣitaiḥ.
25. rājñām su-caritaiḥ yā ca gatiḥ bhavati śāśvatī
catur-āśramiṇām puṇyaiḥ pāvitānām su-rakṣitaiḥ
25. yā ca śāśvatī gatiḥ bhavati rājñām su-caritaiḥ
catur-āśramiṇām puṇyaiḥ pāvitānām su-rakṣitaiḥ
25. And that eternal destiny (gati) which is attained by kings through their good conduct, and by those in the four stages of life (āśramas) who are purified by their merits and well-guarded virtues.
