महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-29, verse-38

तुरगं रथिनं नागं पदातिमपि मारिष ।
विनिर्भिद्य क्षितिं जग्मुर्वल्मीकमिव पन्नगाः ॥३८॥
38. turagaṁ rathinaṁ nāgaṁ padātimapi māriṣa ,
vinirbhidya kṣitiṁ jagmurvalmīkamiva pannagāḥ.

38. O respected one, those arrows, after piercing through horses, chariot-warriors, elephants, and even foot-soldiers, then penetrated the earth, just as snakes enter an anthill.
