महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-88, verse-4

स तैर्विद्धः स्रवन्रक्तं प्रभिन्न इव कुञ्जरः ।
दध्रे मतिं विनाशाय राज्ञः स पिशिताशनः ।
जग्राह च महाशक्तिं गिरीणामपि दारणीम् ॥४॥
4. sa tairviddhaḥ sravanraktaṁ prabhinna iva kuñjaraḥ ,
dadhre matiṁ vināśāya rājñaḥ sa piśitāśanaḥ ,
jagrāha ca mahāśaktiṁ girīṇāmapi dāraṇīm.
4. saḥ taiḥ viddhaḥ sravan raktam
prabhinnaḥ iva kuñjaraḥ dadhre matim
vināśāya rājñaḥ saḥ piśitāśanaḥ jagrāha
ca mahāśaktim girīṇām api dāraṇīm

4. Pierced by those arrows and dripping blood, that flesh-eating Rākṣasa, like an elephant in rut, resolved to destroy the king. He then seized a mighty spear (śakti), capable of splitting even mountains.
