महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-88, verse-30

आचार्यस्यार्धचन्द्रेण क्रुद्धश्चिच्छेद कार्मुकम् ।
सोमदत्तस्य भल्लेन ध्वजमुन्मथ्य चानदत् ॥३०॥
30. ācāryasyārdhacandreṇa kruddhaściccheda kārmukam ,
somadattasya bhallena dhvajamunmathya cānadat.

30. Enraged, he cut the teacher's (Ācārya's) bow with a crescent-shaped arrow. Then, having torn down Somadatta's banner with a broad-headed arrow, he roared.
