महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-3, verse-9

प्रतिमाश्चालिखन्त्यन्ये सशस्त्राः कालचोदिताः ।
अन्योन्यमभिधावन्ति शिशवो दण्डपाणयः ।
उपरुन्धन्ति कृत्वा च नगराणि युयुत्सवः ॥९॥
9. pratimāścālikhantyanye saśastrāḥ kālacoditāḥ ,
anyonyamabhidhāvanti śiśavo daṇḍapāṇayaḥ ,
uparundhanti kṛtvā ca nagarāṇi yuyutsavaḥ.

kālacoditāḥ anyonyam abhidhāvanti

9. Others, driven by fate, draw images of armed figures. Children, staffs in hand, attack each other. And belligerent individuals, having taken over cities, lay siege to them.
