महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-3, verse-31

मांसवर्षं पुनस्तीव्रमासीत्कृष्णचतुर्दशीम् ।
अर्धरात्रे महाघोरमतृप्यंस्तत्र राक्षसाः ॥३१॥
31. māṁsavarṣaṁ punastīvramāsītkṛṣṇacaturdaśīm ,
ardharātre mahāghoramatṛpyaṁstatra rākṣasāḥ.

31. Furthermore, on the fourteenth day of the dark fortnight, at midnight, there was a dreadful and intense rain of flesh. The rākṣasas (demons) there were satiated by it.
