महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-11, verse-23

इतः प्रच्यवतां रात्रौ यः स तेषां महात्मनाम् ।
आवृत्य मार्गं रौद्रात्मा तस्थौ गिरिरिवाचलः ॥२३॥
23. itaḥ pracyavatāṁ rātrau yaḥ sa teṣāṁ mahātmanām ,
āvṛtya mārgaṁ raudrātmā tasthau giririvācalaḥ.
23. itaḥ pracyavatām rātrau yaḥ saḥ teṣām mahātmanām
āvṛtya mārgam raudrātmā tasthau giriḥ iva acalaḥ
23. That fierce-natured (raudrātman) demon, who, at night, blocked the path of those great-souled (mahātman) ones as they were departing from here, stood like an immovable mountain.
