महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-58, verse-8

प्रियाणि लभते लोके प्रियदः प्रियकृत्तथा ।
प्रियो भवति भूतानामिह चैव परत्र च ॥८॥

8. One who gives pleasant things and one who does pleasant deeds similarly obtains pleasant things in this world. Indeed, such a person becomes dear to all beings, both in this world and in the next.
