महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-58, verse-26

यच्छोभार्थं बलार्थं वा वित्तमस्ति तवानघ ।
तेन ते ब्राह्मणाः पूज्याः स्वधर्ममनुतिष्ठता ॥२६॥
26. yacchobhārthaṁ balārthaṁ vā vittamasti tavānagha ,
tena te brāhmaṇāḥ pūjyāḥ svadharmamanutiṣṭhatā.
26. yat śobhārtham balārtham vā vittam asti tava anagha
tena te brāhmaṇāḥ pūjyāḥ svadharmam anutiṣṭhatā
26. anagha tava yat śobhārtham vā balārtham vittam asti,
tena svadharmam anutiṣṭhatā te brāhmaṇāḥ pūjyāḥ.
26. O sinless one, whatever wealth you possess for the sake of splendor or strength, with that wealth you should honor the brahmins, while you yourself are upholding your own intrinsic nature (dharma).
