ततस्तस्मिन्मुहूर्तेऽथ राजोपरिचरस्तदा ।
अधो वै संबभूवाशु भूमेर्विवरगो नृपः ।
स्मृतिस्त्वेनं न प्रजहौ तदा नारायणाज्ञया ॥१६॥

16. tatastasminmuhūrte'tha rājoparicarastadā ,
adho vai saṁbabhūvāśu bhūmervivarago nṛpaḥ ,
smṛtistvenaṁ na prajahau tadā nārāyaṇājñayā.

16. tataḥ tasmin muhūrte atha rājā
uparicaraḥ tadā adhaḥ vai saṃbabhūva āśu
bhūmeḥ vivaragaḥ nṛpaḥ smṛtiḥ tu
enaṃ na prajahau tadā nārāyaṇājñayā

16. Then, at that very moment, King Uparicara, the monarch, swiftly plunged downwards, entering a chasm in the earth. However, his memory did not abandon him at that time, due to the command of Nārāyaṇa.
