महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-255, verse-40

एतानीदृशकान्धर्मानाचरन्निह जाजले ।
कारणैर्धर्ममन्विच्छन्न लोकानाप्नुते शुभान् ॥४०॥
40. etānīdṛśakāndharmānācaranniha jājale ,
kāraṇairdharmamanvicchanna lokānāpnute śubhān.

dharmam anvicchan na lokān āpnute śubhān

40. O Jājali, one who observes these kinds of principles (dharma) in this world, yet seeks to understand natural law (dharma) merely through various arguments, does not attain auspicious worlds.
