महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-142, verse-19

स त्वं संतानवानद्य पुत्रवानपि च द्विज ।
तत्स्वदेहे दयां त्यक्त्वा धर्मार्थौ परिगृह्य वै ।
पूजामस्मै प्रयुङ्क्ष्व त्वं प्रीयेतास्य मनो यथा ॥१९॥
19. sa tvaṁ saṁtānavānadya putravānapi ca dvija ,
tatsvadehe dayāṁ tyaktvā dharmārthau parigṛhya vai ,
pūjāmasmai prayuṅkṣva tvaṁ prīyetāsya mano yathā.
19. saḥ tvaṃ saṃtānavān adya putravān api
ca dvija tat svadehe dayāṃ tyaktvā
dharmārthau parigṛhya vai pūjām asmai

19. Therefore, O twice-born (dvija), you who are now blessed with progeny and sons, abandoning pity for your own body, and truly embracing the twin pursuits of natural law (dharma) and material prosperity (artha), offer worship to him in such a way that his mind may be pleased.
