महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-23, verse-21

धर्मात्मा तात धर्मज्ञः पारंपर्येण निर्णये ।
अमर्त्य इव मर्त्यः सन्नेष प्राणानधारयत् ॥२१॥
21. dharmātmā tāta dharmajñaḥ pāraṁparyeṇa nirṇaye ,
amartya iva martyaḥ sanneṣa prāṇānadhārayat.

21. O father, this righteous soul (dharmātmā), who knows (natural) law (dharma) and made decisions based on tradition, maintained his vital breaths (prāṇa) as if he were immortal, despite being a mortal.
