महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-46, verse-2

ऋषेस्तस्य तु पुत्रोऽभूद्गवि जातो महायशाः ।
शृङ्गी नाम महातेजास्तिग्मवीर्योऽतिकोपनः ॥२॥
2. ṛṣestasya tu putro'bhūdgavi jāto mahāyaśāḥ ,
śṛṅgī nāma mahātejāstigmavīryo'tikopanaḥ.
2. ṛṣeḥ tasya tu putraḥ abhūt gavi jātaḥ mahāyaśāḥ
śṛṅgī nāma mahātejāḥ tigmavīryaḥ atikopanaḥ
2. Indeed, to that sage was born a son, on a cow, named Śṛṅgi. He was highly renowned, greatly effulgent, of fierce prowess, and exceedingly wrathful.
