महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-43, verse-18

इति निश्चित्य मनसा जरत्कारुर्भुजंगमा ।
तमृषिं दीप्ततपसं शयानमनलोपमम् ।
उवाचेदं वचः श्लक्ष्णं ततो मधुरभाषिणी ॥१८॥
18. iti niścitya manasā jaratkārurbhujaṁgamā ,
tamṛṣiṁ dīptatapasaṁ śayānamanalopamam ,
uvācedaṁ vacaḥ ślakṣṇaṁ tato madhurabhāṣiṇī.

18. Having thus resolved in her mind, Jaratkāru, the serpent-maiden, who was sweet-speaking, then addressed these gentle words to that sage, who was lying down, resembling fire, and shining with intense austerity.
