महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-43, verse-1

सूत उवाच ।
वासुकिस्त्वब्रवीद्वाक्यं जरत्कारुमृषिं तदा ।
सनामा तव कन्येयं स्वसा मे तपसान्विता ॥१॥
1. sūta uvāca ,
vāsukistvabravīdvākyaṁ jaratkārumṛṣiṁ tadā ,
sanāmā tava kanyeyaṁ svasā me tapasānvitā.
1. sūtaḥ uvāca vāsukiḥ tu abravīt vākyam jaratkārum ṛṣim
tadā sanāmā tava kanyā iyam svasā me tapasā anvitā
1. Suta said: Then Vasuki indeed spoke these words to the sage Jarutkāru: "This daughter, who is my sister, bears the same name as you and is endowed with austerity."
