बाह्यमेवास्ति नास्त्यन्यदित्यन्ये सत्यवादिनः ।
स्वात्मन्यक्षगणातीतं प्राप्नुवन्ति न ते यतः ॥ ८ ॥

bāhyam eva asti na asti anyat iti anye satyavādinaḥ
sva-ātmani akṣa-gaṇa-atītam prāpnuvanti na te yataḥ

"Only the external exists, there is nothing else," say certain truth-speakers. This is because they do not attain within their own self (ātman) that which transcends the senses (akṣagaṇātītam).
