श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
संविन्मयत्वाज्जगतः स्वप्नस्य परमात्मनः ।
ब्रह्माकाशतया सर्वं ब्रह्मैवेत्यनुभूयते ॥ १ ॥

saṃvinmayatvājjagataḥ svapnasya paramātmanaḥ ,
brahmākāśatayā sarvaṃ brahmaivetyanubhūyate 1

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: Because the world, like a dream, is composed of the consciousness (saṃvid) of the Supreme Self (paramātman), everything is experienced as Brahman (brahman) alone, akin to the all-pervading space of Brahman (brahman).
