योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-97, verse-38

न कंचित्संस्पृशत्यन्तर्विवेको विमलो जनम् ।
जलेऽगाधे निपतितं निमज्जन्तं रजो यथा ॥ ३८ ॥

jale'gādhe nipatitaṃ nimajjantaṃ rajo yathā 38

38. Just as dust, having fallen into deep water, sinks, so also pure, untainted discernment (viveka) does not internally touch any person (who is similarly engrossed or lost).
