भोगपङ्कार्णवे मग्न आत्मा नोत्तार्यते यदि ।

If the individual self (ātman), submerged in the mire-like ocean of worldly enjoyments (bhoga), is not uplifted by one's own amazing effort (svapauruṣa), then there is no other remedy or means to liberation.
