यादृशो रश्मिरथयोः स्नेहोद्वेगविवर्जितः ।
संबन्धस्तादृशो देहचित्तेन्द्रियमुखैश्चितेः ॥ ४ ॥

4. Just as the connection between reins and a chariot is free from affection and agitation, similarly, the relationship of consciousness (citi) with the body, mind, and senses is of that very kind.

4. כשם שהקשר בין קרני השמש לכרכרה שבה הן פוגעות נטול כל זיקה רגשית או סערה, כך הוא הקשר בין התודעה הטהורה לבין הגוף, החשיבה והחושים.
