अहो बत चिरं कालमावां विश्लेषमागतौ ।
कालेन श्लेषितौ भूयो वसन्ताद्रितटाविव ॥ ४० ॥

40. aho bata ciram kālam āvām viśleṣam āgatau
kālena śleṣitau bhūyaḥ vasanta-adri-taṭāu iva

40. Oh dear! For a long time, we two had been separated. Now, by the agency of time, we have been reunited again, just like the two slopes of a spring mountain.
