योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-61, verse-39

आपातरमणीयेषु वर्तेतात्यन्तवैरिषु ।
कच्चिद्विषयसर्पेषु सविरागं मनस्तव ॥ ३९ ॥
āpātaramaṇīyeṣu vartetātyantavairiṣu ,
kaccidviṣayasarpeṣu savirāgaṃ manastava 39
39. āpāta-ramaṇīyeṣu varteta atyanta-vairiṣu
kaccit viṣaya-sarpeṣu sa-virāgam manaḥ tava
39. kaccit tava manaḥ āpāta-ramaṇīyeṣu
atyanta-vairiṣu viṣaya-sarpeṣu sa-virāgam varteta
39. I hope that your mind (manas) remains unattached (sa-virāgam) towards sense objects (viṣaya), which are like serpents, alluring at first sight but ultimately extreme enemies.
