योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-61, verse-11

विनेशुर्जनतास्तत्र बह्वयः क्षुत्क्षामजीविताः ।
ज्वलिते विपिने वह्नौ यथा भूतपरम्पराः ॥ ११ ॥
vineśurjanatāstatra bahvayaḥ kṣutkṣāmajīvitāḥ ,
jvalite vipine vahnau yathā bhūtaparamparāḥ 11
11. vineśuḥ janatāḥ tatra bahvayaḥ kṣutkṣāmajīvitāḥ

11. There, many populations, their lives wasted by hunger, perished, just as rows of creatures (bhūta) perish in a forest ablaze with fire.
